It comes as a professionally built crate engine that’s dressed with key components like the intake, carb, and HEI ignition—built to make your swap straightforward.
What exactly is included with the engine?
It includes the intake, Edelbrock 600 CFM carb, HEI distributor/coil, wires/plugs, fuel pump, water pump, harmonic balancer, flexplate, and multiple chrome dress components (plus balance sheet and warranty paperwork).
Is it ready to run out of the crate?
It’s designed to be “drop-in friendly,” but you still must install it properly, add fluids, verify timing/carb settings, and confirm all vehicle-specific fitment items before driving.
Is the intake manifold EGR compatible?
No—this build uses a dual-plane non-EGR intake manifold.
Is the rotating assembly balanced?
Yes—the rotating assembly is Sunnen computer balanced, and the balance sheet is included.
What machine work is performed on the block, heads, and crank?
The block/heads/crank are cleaned and Magnafluxed, the block is bored/honed with torque plates, the crank is reground and polished, rods are resized with new bolts, and the heads get new guides/seals plus a performance 3-angle valve job.
What ignition system comes with it?
It includes an HEI distributor with cap/rotor and a 50,000V coil, along with Accel wires and Autolite plugs.
Does it include the carburetor and intake manifold?
Yes—both the polished dual-plane intake (non-EGR) and the Edelbrock 600 CFM carburetor are included.
What warranty comes with the GOAT 350?
A 1-year, unlimited mileage written warranty is included with the engine.
What should I do before the first start?
Prime the oiling system, verify fuel delivery, set base timing, check for leaks, use proper break-in oil/procedure, and complete a careful initial heat-cycle and inspection before normal driving.
