Core Return Process

How the core return works

Many GOAT remanufactured engines include a refundable core deposit. The exact deposit appears on the product page and in your order.

1. Install your replacement engine

Keep the shipping pallet, crate materials, and paperwork. Drain the original engine as instructed and keep the core complete unless your order documentation says otherwise.

2. Request return authorization

Contact GOAT Engines with your order number when the core is ready. The approved return address will be provided with your return authorization.

3. Prepare the core for freight

  • Drain all fluids and cap openings.
  • Secure the core to the original pallet or approved replacement pallet.
  • Protect loose components and follow the packaging instructions provided with your order.
  • Take clear photos before pickup.

4. Return freight

Return shipping is $299. You do not pay additional money up front; the $299 return-freight charge is deducted from the approved core refund.

5. Inspection and refund

After the core arrives, it is inspected for the correct application, completeness, and condition. The approved refund is issued to the original payment method, less the $299 return-freight charge and any documented deductions that apply under the product's core terms.

Before returning a core

  • Do not ship a core without return authorization.
  • Use the return address supplied with that authorization.
  • Keep your photos, freight paperwork, and tracking information.
  • Contact us before pickup if the core is incomplete or damaged.
